Description

An AI-powered smart refrigerator management and recipe generator platform designed to minimize household food waste. Users can scan refrigerator ingredients to retrieve optimized recipes and monitor environmental impact.

Key Features:

Gemini AI Image Recognition: Leverages Google Gemini Vision API to instantly analyze and detect food items and ingredients from a single photo.
Zero Waste Recommendation Engine: Suggests tailored recipes prioritized based on ingredients that are close to expiring or already available in the fridge.
Secure Authentication: Implements secure login flows using Google OAuth combined with Email OTP verification.
Eco-Impact Tracking: Integrates environmental impact metrics and statistics sourced from Bappenas RI and FAO to raise awareness about food waste.

My Role

Frontend & Full-Stack Developer
Designed and developed the user interface, authentication middleware, and API integrations:

- Implemented the client-side scanning interface using Next.js and Mantine components.
- Configured Firebase Authentication with custom OTP verification flows.
- Integrated the Google Gemini AI vision endpoints for real-time food recognition.
- Deployed and optimized the service on Google Cloud Run for production usage.
